Whittier Republican Women (WRW) is awarding two scholarships to qualified Republican students at Whittier College and Biola University: The Cathy Vinatieri Scholarship in honor of Cathy Vinatieri, Whittier Republican Women founding president, and endowed by Joe Vinatieri ($1,000), and the Richard M. Nixon Scholarship ($2,000). These scholarships help support students who are committed to Republican philosophies and values.

To be considered for the scholarship, students must submit the following:

• A fully completed application form
• A written essay on the designated topic
• Two faculty references

Application deadline is Monday, March 31 (postmark).

Students are welcome to apply for both scholarships; a separate application, reference forms and essay must be provided for each.

The applications and essays will be reviewed by a panel of Whittier Republican Women judges; winning students will be determined based on merit. Winning students will be notified by Wednesday, April 30. Students will be invited to be recognized and to read their essays at a future meeting of Whittier Republican Women.
